CHARACTERISTICS
CEN Standard sand (ISO standard sand) is a natural sand, which is siliceous, particularly its finest fractions. It is clean, the particles are generally isometric and rounded in shape. It is dried, screened and prepared in a modern workshop which offers every guarantee in terms of quality and consistency.
The sand is packaged in polyethylene bags each containing 1 350 ± 5 g.
Deliveries are made in boxes of 16 bags weighing 21.6 kg and in pallets of 2 to 54 boxes, suitably protected by a polyethene cover (land transport) or reinforced boxes (shipping).
CONTROLS
The grading, measured by sieving, complies with the requirements of EN 196-1 (§5) and of ISO 679: 2009 (§5).
This analysis is complemented by bag mass controls, water content controls and strength controls, in accordance with EN 196-1 (§11) and ISO 679: 2009 (§11).
CONFORMITY
CEN standard conformity is carried out by L.E.M.V.P. (Material Test Laboratory), 4 Avenue du Colonel Henri Rol-Tanguy – 75014 PARIS
Production has been certified by AFNOR (Association Française de Normalisation), 11 Rue Francis de Pressensé – 93571 La Plaine Saint Denis Cedex.

GRADED SAND

CHARACTERISTICS
Graded sand is made of local (French Source) natural silica sand (silica content higher than 98%), having a water content lower than 0.1 %. The constituent grains of this natural sand are uncrushed and of rounded form. It is packaged in bags of 25 kg. This monitoring sand is used for testing hydraulic cement strength.
Deliveries are made in unit bags. They are packaged in pallets of 2 to 40 bags covered with a plastic cover and protected by reinforced boxes.

Grading is according to ASTM C778-3 (2021). The typical grading is as follows:

Cement testing
CHARACTERISTICS
20-30 sand is made of local (French source) natural silica sand (silica content higher than 98 %), having a water content lower than 0.1 %. The constituent grains of this natural sand are uncrushed and of rounded form. The sand is used for the testing of hydraulic cement.
The sand is packaged in a 25 kg bag. Delivery is made in unit bags and on pallets of 2 to 40 bags with a plastic cover and protected by reinforced boxes.

Production controls are carried out by the SNL laboratory, and we produce for each delivery a data control certificate.
