Silica Sand is inert, meaning it will not adversely affect the pH or water chemistry of your aquarium, and it has been pre-washed to remove any unwanted contaminants. Dye and dust-free.

Silica sand for freshwater aquarium is far cleaner than gravel and will not alter the pH level of the water in your aquarium. We always recommend giving the sand a light rinse before putting it in your tank. Although the sand is very clean, we like to be safe. Superb for catfish and loaches, the white sand makes goldfish and koi more visible when used in ponds.
